About Us


Brenda Bio: Brenda holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Hardin-Simmons University and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Movement Science from Texas Christian University. She played Division I soccer at Texas Christian University from 1999 to 2003. She is also a certified Functional Diagnostic Nutritionist  and looks forward to using this knowledge to continue to help others improve their health. She will be completing her yoga teacher training in Costa Rica at the end of September.  She loves to learn (mostly about health, food and the human body), be in nature, read, practice yoga, and spend time with her hubby, friends and family.

Chad’s Bio: Chad holds a Doctor of  Physical Therapy degree from Hardin-Simmons University. His undergraduate degree is a Bachelor’s of Science in business with concentrations in marketing and finance at Trinity University, where he also played baseball. Chad holds a Level I Crossfit certification, Crossfit Olympic lifting certification and Crossfit endurance certification. He is currently pursing his Level 1 coaching certification with Optimum Performance Training.  He enjoys good food (lots of meat!), lifting heavy things, running fast, yoga and chillin’ on the patio.

      The Curried Butternut Squash Soup is from our Cooking with Coconut book. You are correct in that there is no bone broth in that recipe – it uses coconut milk. Let me know if you’d like me to email you the exact recipe 🙂

    I love your articles, I have am vegetarian and tried to go vegan but keep gaining weight due to a few health issues and insulin levels. Can I do the paleo program meat free. I will eat fish if necessary, keep up the great work Andrea
