After: Ending weight 128 and feeling fantastic!
I was a bit skeptical at first but I knew that protein was a better fit for my body. I’ve been gluten-free for about a year but still eating grains and gaining weight. No matter how much exercise and no matter how careful I was by not eating sugar, I was gaining weight instead of losing it.
Last year I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis (a bladder condition) that is brought on by immune issues, dietary issues, and lifestyle (stress) issues. I saw this 30-Day challenge as an opportunity to clean up my eating even more.
I’m so happy I jumped in and did this! The first week and a half was really hard. I was a little weak, very foggy and generally just didn’t feel good. But then something clicked and my body really started firing on all cylinders.
It has been a very long time since I’ve felt this good. I have energy! I’m not exhausted by the end of the workday. And the mid afternoon cravings have vanished. I’m seeing small improvements in the interstitial cystitis, and I’m sure it will continue to improve as I continue to eat this way. In fact, I think I’ll be eating like this for the rest of my life.
